For the woman who believes a life centered around home, family, and loving others well is anything but small. A little reminder to carry that belief with you wherever the day takes you.

The Front Porch Hat is the first little piece of a life built around what matters most. Whether you’re heading to the farmer’s market, tending the garden, chasing little feet, or meeting a friend for coffee, this hat is meant to be worn while building a life rooted in love, character, and intention.

Inspired by the front porch, a place where you feel welcomed, known, and cared for, The Front Porch Hat is a little reminder to carry that same spirit with you: to love your people well, make room for others, and leave the porch light on wherever you go.

The Making of The Front Porch Hat

When I was creating PorchLight, I knew I wanted the first product to be something you could actually live in…something you would actually reach for everyday.

Something you could throw on for a walk, a grocery run, working in the garden, grabbing coffee for a friend, or just making breakfast at home.

But I also wanted it to be a little reminder of the kind of woman I want to become…who I think a lot of us want to become…the kind who chooses love, character, and intention everyday.

So that’s where The Front Porch Hat came from.

To me, a front porch represents the kind of life I want to cultivate. A place that says, “Come sit for a while.” A place where people feel welcomed, known, and cared for. A place where ordinary moments become meaningful simply because you’re sharing them with someone you love.

I wanted the hat to carry that same feeling…to act as a reminder to love your people well, to choose character in the ordinary moments, to make room for the people around you, to leave the porch light on. Just a little reminder to carry the spirit of the front porch with you, wherever the day takes you.

Dearly,

Autumn
